a website from scratch…
December 25th, 2009 at 9:17 amMeaning are you doing all the HTML work for it? Are you picking the colors and such?
Orrr meaning you’re using something like http://www.freewebs.com or http://www.weebly.com [i've used both when I first started making site- and weebly is MUCH better- and if this is your first website- you one of those; unless you're a MASTER at HTML...[or some other coding]
And I don’t know about Google ads- I never messed with those…

I’m using a great online company called Sitesell. This is the very first time I have ever built a website, so I needed a company who could take me by the hand, step by step!
December 25th, 2009 at 12:58 pmI have nothing but praise for them! They make EVERYTHING so easy! They supply all of the online training, simple (yet incredibly sophisticated tools) and excellent support.
There is small annual hosting fee to pay but that includes all of the above plus your domain registration. They even supply the templates for designing your site! And don’t worry about html coding or other techy stuff as that’s all taken care of for you!
My site is only 18 months old. but It’s already very highly ranked by the major search engines and is attracting more than 30,000 visitors a month…..and rising! Plus it generates a substantial income (mainly from Google Adsense) which not only well exceeds the running costs, but actually shows a very healthy profit!

For money, you simply need to attract more visitors and get them to click on the ads.
December 25th, 2009 at 7:25 pmFor a website, you will need some webspace, and knowledge of web design such as HTML, PHP, etc. There are plenty of free hosts available, and a vast number of web design guides all over the net.
Google is your friend.
